Who knows this name: “Jón Svensson”? Probably the least. His nickname Nonni, however, some will certainly know.
Most people probably know Nonni from the television movies Nonni and Manni. Whole generations of children, but also many adults, were spellbound by the adventures he experienced together with his younger brother in the rough nature of Iceland. Sadly, the bestselling books that provided the foundation for Nonni’s adventures fell into oblivion. Today, they are only available as audio books.
